In 2018, the U12 team became the first NTSV Basketball team to win the Hamburg championship in their age group. It was a great achievement.

Niendorf’s U12 basketball players secure the Hamburg championship title

For the boys and two girls of the NTSV U12 basketball team “Wildcats” a dream came true at the end of April and the hard work of the past months paid off. A long season with gruelling fights, exciting games, victories, but also defeats, is now behind the team.

Coach Nyaradzai Ngwerume and her co-coach Ali Tabibzadeh have always believed in the success of the teams at the Hamburg Championships and led the children through their enthusiasm and motivation to peak performance and victory. Training took place three to four times a week, even on weekends, even at icy minus three degrees the boys and girls ran their rounds around the sports field Sachsenweg. In the hall, the team worked on shooting and passing techniques and moves.
